For The Love of Horses

On this day of love, I like to remind myself that it is not just love for other people that I am celebrating.

I want to pass on a big THANK YOU over to Tess at The Bold Life for using my words in your post about love, and reminding me so well, why I am where I am in my life.

It's for the love of horses.

It was the horses that drew me away from what was comfortable, to take risks, and to open myself to a whole new world of self growth and learning

It was the horses who were always there in all their beauty, while I trudged through a lot of difficult times traveling and working mentally and physically past exhaustion for the past year and a half.

It is the horses that I first learned to love unconditionally.

Thank you horses! I owe you one...

  1. Thank you for your kind comment on my blog post. I've found leading, and ground manners, to be so fundamental, and I think half the issue for us humans is that we don't usually pay enough attention to notice what is really going on . . .

    1. You're welcome. What you have to say is incredibly thoughtful and helpful. There tends to be so much ego, especially in the horse world that it's rare to come across someone who really stops to think. Like I think you mentioned in previous posts of yours, if your horse is acting up, first look at what you yourself are doing (Horses with people problems.. I think that's a book title =P)

Anyways, I don't know what I'd do without those amazing beings!!!
